Hi. I've just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, running Android 6.0.1 and added SD. I'm not getting any location data input into SD from the device - its constantly waiting for location data, although both GPS and WiFi location are enabled. I know this isn't a new issue, but couldn't find anything on here which helped resolve this. Is this still a known bug? Any fixes out there? Or alternatively, what devices are guaranteed to work smoothly with SD?

Hi, just want to revive this thread as my problems are very similar. I just bought a Huawei M5 8" tablet specifically for skydemon and the location service doesn't seem to work. Either by pressing the location button or Go Flying the error message is:  Your location cannot be obtained.
The location does work in google maps.

- Yes SD has acces to location
- The tablet has LTE or a sim card but that should not be necessary
- Location works fine on Samsung S8 phone
- software versions: Android 9 Pie, Build number: 9.0.1.190, -SD version: 3.12.7

If OllieD is still around I wonder how he resolved the issue.

Thanks
Ben

Can you confirm that your Huawei tablet is the LTE version. If so, turning on Location Services should automatically turn on GPS. Whether or not you have a SIM card inserted is irrelevant. If it is NOT an LTE version, then it has no internal GPS and an external GPS source will be required. Google maps will still work on a non-LTE device, because it will use WiFi to establish location. Hope this helps.
